Join us for an exciting adventure on a multilevel, aerial obstacle course! Participants negotiate a series of rope bridges, Tarzan swings and flying foxes from platforms constructed in the tree canopy. This experience is a huge adrenalin rush and is also a fantastic confidence builder!

We have a series of 4 aerial pathways of increasing height and difficulty that are up to 17 meters off the ground, more than 1 kilometer in length and cover three hectares of forest. They are "challenging by choice," meaning you can stop at any time. Our instructors are on the ground to lower you down if needed.

Our courses are suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. They are also a great family activity and are entertaining for spectators as well as participants.

Please note: Your ticket includes one entry for each pathway at any time during our operating hours; however, it is only valid for the specific day that was booked.

Pathways:

Time limits on pathways are 1.5 hours for pathways 1 and 2, and 3 hours for the whole course. Please note: Children that are 1.30 - 1.44 m (4'3" - 4'9") tall are only permitted on pathways 1 and 2.

     Level 1: Discovery Path
     ~ Less than 2 meters high

     Level 2: Adventure Path
     ~ Between 4 & 6 meters high

     Level 3: Thrill Path
     ~ Between 5 & 8 meters high

     Level 4: Adrenalin Path
     ~ Up to 17 meters high

Background:

Aerial obstacle course parks were created in France in 1995 by a retired army officer. The concept was inspired by his extensive use of army training courses. He adapted the courses to provide a fun and challenging experience. The concept was immediately popular. In the last three years, the creation of parks has reached 300. They are now spreading all over the world with parks in Canada, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, South America, Australia, and now...Christchurch, New Zealand!

Safety:

The safety of our participants is our highest priority. We are committed to enabling everyone to experience the thrills and challenges of the course while maintaining a safe environment. Participants receive a detailed safety briefing before entering the course and are securely attached to a safety wire at all times. All of the park's safety systems are checked daily, and independent safety audits are carried out several times each season. The instructors are fully trained. Our entire staff undergoes regular safety assessments.

Rules and Regulations:

~ A waiver form has to be signed prior to entering the park and partaking in our activities. A parent or guardian must sign for minors (under 18 years old).

~ Height restrictions apply -- Children must be 1.30 meters tall to do the 1st and 2nd pathways and 1.45 meters tall to do the entire course

~ Children must be accompanied by an adult.

~ Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear. It is recommended that sports shoes or other types of covered sneakers be worn. Long hair has to be tied up. Gloves will be provided.

~ Smoking is not allowed anywhere within our facilities. Alcohol is not allowed prior to doing the course.

~ The following must not be brought into our facilities: dangerous or hazardous materials, weapons, and/or offensive items.

~ Participants must follow the rules on all signs and the instructions issued by the park instructors, express or implied.

~ Participants must keep to the pathways and ensure that at least one carabiner is attached to the safety line (cable with red paint) at all times.

~ Participants must not intentionally jump on platforms, swing the ropes and cables or otherwise carry out any act that may impede other participants' use of the pathways or cause damage to the trees.

~ Participants must complete the safety briefing exercises prior to entry onto any of the pathways. We reserve the right to deny entry to the park if participants fail to complete the safety briefing exercises in a competent manner. If the assistance of additional park instructors is required for a participant to complete the safety briefing exercises competently (due to that participant suffering from blindness, deafness, lack of coordination or any other physical or mental characteristic that may impede the participant's ability to complete the safety briefing exercises), we reserve the right to charge additional entrance fees or refuse entry.

~ We reserve the right to deny any person entry or to require a person who has already entered to leave our facilities for failure to comply with the above rules or for any other unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior. There shall be no entitlement to a full or partial refund of the entrance fee paid.

MINIMUM 48 HOURS ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. A minimum total of 4 participants is required for weekday tours from May through August. If your party is fewer than 4 persons, you may have to wait on confirmation until the required number of total participants is reached. Our courses are not handicapped accessible. Tour does not include hotel pickup or drop-off. Rates are per person, in US Dollars and include tax. Child rates apply to ages 17 and under.
